fashion clothing, shoes and bags for men and women.
Aleksi 13 offers famous international clothing brands
and interesting fashion collections for men and women. Varied bag collections
and the biggest shoe department in the Nordic countries are examples of
the high-quality and the latest fashion.
Aleksi 13 chain consists of 33 stores all over Finland.
In addition to these, the chain includes Luhta factory outlet in Vantaa.
The first Aleksi13 store was opened in 1967 at Aleksanterinkatu
street in Helsinki. This first address “Aleksi 13” gave the name for
the whole chain.
The flagship store of the chain is the department store
at Aleksanterinkatu 13 in Helsinki city centre. The same building is also
the place where purchasing, administration and marketing departments are
situated.
The Aleksi 13 building, the former Lundqvist’s “commercial
palace”, was drawn and planned in 1898 and it was ready for use in 1900.
Even today the magnificent Aleksi 13 building is one of the most valuable
protected buildings in Helsinki.
The original unique maiolica decorations are still situated
in the corner towers. The metallic non-transparent tin glazing and manycoloured
painted and burnt decorations were used for glazing and decoration. The
hall of the staircase has been restored into its original shape.
From the year 2000 Aleksi 13 has been part of L-Fashion
Group that had its 100th birthday in 2007.
